Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE)
Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) at the Shivaji College,
University of Delhi is established on the 22 nd April 2022 by Dr. Ambedkar
Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of
India. The ministry has approved Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence in
30 Central Universities to coach Scheduled Castes students in
competitive exams by providing the best coaching facilities. The aim of
the centre is to empower Scheduled Caste students in competitive
exams by providing the best and free coaching facilities in the Central
Shivaji College, University of Delhi through support from the Ministry of
Social Justice & Empowerment. This scheme provides specialized
coaching ONLY to the scheduled caste students for the Civil Services
examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Detailed Information for Admission
With reference to Advertisement No.: SHC/DACE/Advt./2022 dated
26.06.2022, Shivaji College (University of Delhi) invites online applications only
from SC Candidates, through the College website for admission to ‘Scheduled
Castes’ candidates for specialized Free Coaching of Civil Services Examinations
(conducted by UPSC), both the Preliminary and the Mains Exams. The following
is the eligibility criteria:

The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- A candidate must hold a Graduate degree of any of the Universities
incorporated by an Act of the central or State Legislature in India or other
educational institutions established by an Act of
Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of
the University Grants
Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
- The candidate must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and
must not have exceeded the age of 36 years.
- The candidate must belong to Scheduled Caste category.
- The candidate has not received any monetary benefits from any of the other
schemes by Government of India, States/UTs or any funding agency.
Selection Criteria
- 100 candidates will be selected based upon the merit list finalized after the
conduct of entrance test.
- The Entrance Test will be based on 100 MCQs with one mark in each
question. The following sections are as follows:
a. General Studies (50 Marks)
b. General English (25 marks)
c. Numerical ability and Reasoning (25 marks)
- There shall be no negative marking.
- The student can avail the coaching facility only once, irrespective of the
chances available to him or her.
Reservation for Female Candidates:
33% of the total sanctioned seats for coaching will preferably be given to
the eligible female candidates of SC category. In case the sufficient number of
eligible female candidates does not apply, University may allocate the vacant
seats to the male/transgender candidates (Scheduled Castes Candidates Only).
Duration of Coaching: One Year
