NCC

The National Cadet Corps unit at Shivaji College is known to be one of the most dignified unit. Shivaji College NCC is privileged to train and motivate cadets. The cadets are disciplined, passionate, and determined. Shivaji College NCC gets innumerable prizes every year in different events and camps. The cadets of Shivaji College are responsible, united and secular citizens of India. Shivaji College has two units of NCC (Boys Division and Girls Wing). The Boys NCC Unit at Shivaji College is attached to the 2 Delhi Battalion, ITI Pusa, New Delhi, and Lt (Dr) Rajinder Singh is the associate NCC offi cer for Boys Division. The Girls wing comes under 7 Delhi Girls Battalion, Kirti Nagar and Lt (Ms.) Deepti is the ANO of the NCC Girls wing. Overall, there are 320 seats in the college (160 in each Unit). The cadets are off ered a variety of courses and training wherein they inculcate or develop incredible skills and officer’s qualities. They learn to serve the nation in diff erent ways. The cadets show their contribution in various social activities like awareness programmes, blood donation, community education, and many more. Shivaji College NCC unit is highly maintained. We aim to instill a sense of comradeship, patriotism and discipline in our cadets. The NCC of Shivaji College has been active throughout the year.

The Army Day was celebrated on January 15, 2020 in the college by paying tribute to the AMAR JAWANS and further cadets visited the National War Memorial at India Gate.

In Celebration of Bravery and Integrity: Indian Army Day Celebration

National Youth Day was celebrated on January 12, 2020 in the college with poster making activity. Cadets participated in Traffic Awareness Rally organised by Delhi Police at India Gate on January 11, 2020.

Safe Roads, Safe Cities: Traffic Awareness Rally: NCC

Polio Eradication Awareness Rally was organised by the NCC unit near the college area on January 10, 2020.

Students Who Make a Difference: Polio Eradication Drive

The NCC organised its Orientation Day on July 26, 2019, to encourage new students of college to join NCC. The Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated by the cadets of Shivaji College on the same day to commemorate India's victory in the Kargil conflict twenty years ago. On this auspicious occasion cadets actively participated in painting and speech competitions.

Cadets of Shivaji College NCC took part in Swachhta Rally on October 2, 2019. The motive was to spread the message of sanitation in our society. Cadets vocalised slogans on the importance of swachhta and also used handmade slogan hoardings to spread awareness. The cadets also carried out an Anti Littering Drive, where they collected litter strewn around the college campus.
