The Department of Business Economics continues to be highly successful in providing an holistic development and diverse experience to its students. To this end, the Department organised guest lectures by various academicians and corporate professionals as an effort to enlighten its students about various global affairs. Under the aegis of the Business Economics Society, the Department also provided platform for imparting professional, leadership, and communication skills which contributed effectively in the overall personality development of the students.

Department of Business Economics organised a seminar on Communication Skills on February 18, 2020 in association with Sunstone Eduversity with Mr. Raju, an MBA from ISME Bangalore.
The Department of Business Economics organised a seminar on "Personality Development" on January 28, 2020. The seminar featured Mr. Siddharth Jain and Ms Neerja Arora of Delhi School of Business as speakers.
The Business Economics Department of Shivaji College organised a seminar on the topic 'Time Management' on January 24, 2020 with Prof. Sangeeta Magan from NDIM Delhi. The students had an interactive and enlightening session. The seminar ended with valuable insights on time management by the speaker.
The Department of Business Economics organised an Orientation Programme for all the first year students on September 3, 2019. The program aimed at providing information related to academic and non academic aspects of the college.
The department also celebrated Teacher's Day on September 5, 2019. There was a plantation drive organised by the college wherein all the teachers planted saplings.
