Biochemistry Society: BIOCHEMICAL SOCIETY

The "Biochemical Society" is a joint enterprise of students and teachers. The main objective of the society is to abreast the students to the latest findings, developments and avenues in the field of life science. Further, it also promotes academic, extra-curricular, and socio-cultural relationship with peers in other colleges and institutions.

Department of Biochemistry organised a Webinar on “DNA Repair” by Professor Umesh Varshney, Department of Microbiology, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, under the aegis of IQAC on April 30, 2020.

The Department of Biochemistry, Shivaji College (University of Delhi), in association with the Department of Biochemistry, University of Delhi, successfully organised an International Conference on “Frontiers in Biochemistry and Biotechnology: Strategies to Combat Human Diseases” on February 12-13, 2020 in Delhi, India, which was attended by more than five hundred participants across the globe.
