Learning Outcomes

  • With the help of the Star College grant, we were able to purchase equipment, expensive chemicals and glasswares to build extensive laboratory infrastructure. This enabled the faculty members to give students a much better hands-on experience, rather than demonstrations to students due to lack of requisite infrastructure.
  • Students have been given additional exposure beyond academic curriculum
  • Activities under Star College Scheme have equipped students with skill to think out of box.
  • Training being imparted to students that would help them venture into the field of scientific research
  • Additional practicals have broadened their scientific knowledge to new horizons
  • Students have learnt to use their analytical skills to help the society at large
  • Short term projects have given them an insight to use practical skills to carry out research and present their work in various international conferences and conclaves.
  • National Workshop on Bioinformatics and Biostatistics was conducted for the teachers to teach them various tools for visualizing molecules and analysing data. Around 80 webinars by eminent speakers were organised, to make the teachers and students cognizant of the research work being carried out at the very frontiers of science.
  • To improve the technical skills of the laboratory staff, Five-day Lab Skill Training Programs were organized by the departments.
  • To improvise the skills and to introduce with the latest tools and techniques in biological and chemical sciences, a training workshop for school teachers of Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, West Zone, Delhi was organized.
